OUR TWO MOST POPULAR RIDES

Both the Rio Cuale and The Playa Grande rides pass through cobbled streets of Vallarta's picturesque outlying villages. Then on to the tropical forests and jungle of the Sierra Madre Occidental. The jungle road is similar to stateside fire roads, but here it is THE ROAD featuring some donkey traffic! This is followed by single track, which is varied and optional. We visit our local farmers and enjoy having fruit, snacks and taking a swim in a stream or near a waterfall amidst verdant tropical flora. The return is exhillerating downhill runs.

Both of these popular rides are about 20K/12miles, and they total under 1000 ft. of climb. Difficulty is in proportion to speed attempted! Average time is 4 hrs. including a swim. Easily expandable (without additional charge) for stronger riders, likewise an abbreviated version is offered for beginners. Either ride is $35, self guided. With a guide, add $10. Group deals are available too, of course! Size usually limited to you or your group. This is a MUST DO when visiting Puerto Vallarta!

FOR MORE ADVANCED RIDERS

YELAPA, approx 50K ride to this beautiful cove at the southernmost tip of Banderas Bay. Drive to El Tuito to start, come back to Vallarta by boat, overnight stay in Yelapa is optional. This ride features spectacular mountain top views of the entire bay. And Yelapa itself is an adventure.... no electricity (except generator) no cars, or vehicles of any kind....

LAS ANIMAS, a ride to the beach, 10 miles on the road, 15 miles fire road and jungle single track. Quite a bit of carrying the bike towards the end. A Panga back to Boca de Tomatlan. This ride climbs through the tropical zone into a temperate zone pine forrest! People are amazed at this ride because it has long been thought that it is only accessable by boat.

LA PALAPA, this town is a total 50K ride, on a fantastic old dirt double track. A total of 1,250 meters of climb. Two thirds of the climb on the way to the town of La Palapa, and one third on the way back. This ride is a workout, but worth it. Roller coaster roads!

2 HOUR TRAINING RIDES ARE AVAILABLE EVERY MORNING.

Also available are multiple day rides and combination horse and bike journeys. Ride destination options can be Sierra Madre Silver Mines of Old, Talpa, Mascota, San Sebastian, Cuale, Las Llanitas and more!
